The Father Patrick Peyton C.S.C Memorial Centre

Enjoy a moment of respite, prayer and peace at the Father Peyton Centre. Officially opened in October 1998 as part of the work of the congregation of Holy Cross to continue the ministry of prayer that was so near to his heart, the centre is dedicated to keeping alive the story of Venerable Patrick Peyton. Take our guided tour, experience our multimedia presentation and discover how this young man from Attymass who became an icon of the family rosary, brought his message of peace and family unity to the world.
The dining room is always open for Tea and freshly made scones and as a recognised point on the loop walks people are welcome to use our facilities and WiFi. The centre is fully wheelchair accessible. Booking is essential for larger groups.

Prayer for the Beatification of Venerable Patrick Peyton

Dear Jesus,

Father Peyton devoted his priestly life to strengthening the families of the world by calling them to pray together everyday especially the Rosary.

His message is as important for us now as it was during his life on earth.

We beg you therefore, to hasten his beatification, so that your faithful people everywhere will remember his message that the family that prays together stays together, will imitate his devotion to your mother and ours, and will be inspired by his holy life to draw ever closer to you with childlike confidence and love.

Amen

Father Peyton Centre Over 65 Club

Each Tuesday we are lucky enough to be joined by our Over 65 Club, a group of senior citizens from all around the area. The day starts with Mass, celebrated by Fr. Steve Gibson followed by a three-course lunch, good nutritional home cooked food served by friendly caring staff. The afternoon is spent either enjoying a Tea Dance in the video room or Bingo in the dining room. Groups from all over the province join us and everyone tells us how much they enjoy their day.

If you are part of an Active Retired Group and would like a day out or would like to join us on a weekly basis please call 096-45374.

Everybody is Welcome!!

School Lunches

We provide school snacks for one hundred and ten pupils per day. There are two rural schools availing of the service. Those schools are in the primary schools “disadvantaged” category. The Fr. Peyton Centre is contracted by the schools to provide this service; they in turn are grant aided by the Department of Education.

On speaking with the school principals they see this service as a great incentive to children to eat a healthy diet and are anxious that the service continues. We intend to approach other schools within a ten-mile radius and request them to investigate the possibility of them been included for the service
